Just (2/4)

The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; the heart of the wicked is of little worth. The tongue of the just man is like pure silver; the heart of the wicked is without worth.
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.Rather, be kind to one another and compassionate, and forgive one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.
Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you.O Lord, let your kindness rest upon us, for we have placed our hope in you.
Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.Beloved, we are God’s children now. What we shall be has not yet been revealed. However, we do know that when he appears we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he really is. Everyone who has this hope in him keeps himself pure, just as he is pure.
To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
For a thousand years in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, or as a watch in the night. For to you a thousand years are like a yesterday that has passed or one of the watches of the night.
Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.Beloved, I pray that everything is going well with you and that your bodily health is equal to that of your soul.
But Jesus on hearing this answered him, “Do not fear; only believe, and she will be well.”When Jesus heard this, he said, “Do not be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be saved.”
For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so too, through Christ, do we receive our consolation.
But as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”He who called you is holy. Therefore, be holy yourselves in all your conduct. For Scripture says, “Be holy, for I am holy.”
As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever feeds on me, he also will live because of me.Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so whoever feeds upon me will live because of me.
The memory of the righteous is a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.The righteous is remembered with blessings, but the name of the wicked fades away.
As in water face reflects face, so the heart of man reflects the man.Just as water reflects one’s face, so does one human heart reflect another.
Seek good, and not evil, that you may live; and so the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you, as you have said.Seek good and not evil, so that you may live. Then the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you as you claim he is.
Blessings are on the head of the righteous, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.Blessings are showered on the head of the righteous, but sorrow will cover the face of the wicked.
My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the Lord reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights. My son, do not ignore the Lord’s discipline or refuse to accept his rebuke. For the Lord disciplines those whom he loves, just as a father chastises a beloved son.
For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous. For just as through the disobedience of one man the many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one man the many will be made righteous.
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.Rejoice with all your heart, O daughter Zion. Shout for joy, O daughter Jerusalem. See, your king is coming to you, triumphant and victorious, humble and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything. But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.Whatever moves and has life will be used for your food. I give you all these things, just as I have already given you every green plant. Only do not eat flesh along with its life, that is, with its blood.
With his mouth the godless man would destroy his neighbor, but by knowledge the righteous are delivered. With his mouth the godless man seeks to ruin his neighbor, but knowledge enables the righteous to be delivered.
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.Be doers of the word and not just hearers who only deceive themselves.
But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.”But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid! I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has been raised, as he promised he would be. Come and see the place where he lay.”
Guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints. For he guards the paths of justice and keeps watch over the way of his faithful ones.
The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. To anyone who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, as I myself overcame and sat with my Father on his throne.
Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path. Then you will understand equity and justice as well as righteousness—every good path.

For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.Just as in Adam all die, so all will be brought to life in Christ.
