Bible Verses about 'Law'

For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law.All who have sinned apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.
Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.For “no human being will be justified in his sight” by deeds prescribed by the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”What then should we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet, if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.Bear one another's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
I delight to do Your will, O my God, And Your law is within my heart.I delight to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart.
Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law.
Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the Lord!Happy are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord.
What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! What then? Should we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. For Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble.Great peace have those who love your law; nothing can make them stumble.
One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination. When one will not listen to the law, even one's prayers are an abomination.
For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified. We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners; yet we know that a person is justified not by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ. And we have come to believe in Christ Jesus, so that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by doing the works of the law, because no one will be justified by the works of the law.
Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. In everything do to others as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets.
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets; I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.
You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. You who want to be justified by the law have cut yourselves off from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.I do not nullify the grace of God; for if justification comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing.
But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference. But now, apart from law, the righteousness of God has been disclosed, and is attested by the law and the prophets, the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction.
The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the decrees of the Lord are sure, making wise the simple.
And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.
But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. But those who look into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and persevere, being not hearers who forget but doers who act—they will be blessed in their doing.

Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.Everyone who commits sin is guilty of lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.
