- Let not mercy and truth forsake you;
Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart,
And so find favor and high esteem
In the sight of God and man. - For
“He who would love life
And see good days,
Let him refrain his tongue from evil,
And his lips from speaking deceit.
Let him turn away from evil and do good;
Let him seek peace and pursue it.” - Will you set your eyes on that which is not?
For riches certainly make themselves wings;
They fly away like an eagle toward heaven. - For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
- Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
- Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
- Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin.
- Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.
- Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
- “Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the Lord,
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be as wool.” - Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.
- ‘And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.
- Who is wise?
Let him understand these things.
Who is prudent?
Let him know them.
For the ways of the Lord are right;
The righteous walk in them,
But transgressors stumble in them. - Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.
- So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’ ”
- Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received him.
- Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being.
- Teach me Your way, O Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name. - The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. - On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.”
- Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
- And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
- Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.
- He answered and said to them, “He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.”
- Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
