- Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
- Arise, shine; for thy light is come,
and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. - And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
- Make thy face to shine upon thy servant:
save me for thy mercies' sake. - Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts,
cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. - Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
- For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.
- Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let thy glory be above all the earth. - Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
- Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us,
according as we hope in thee. - Let thine eyes look right on,
and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. - Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
and a light unto my path. - For thou wilt light my candle:
the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. - Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens:
and thy glory above all the earth. - Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
- But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
- And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
- Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
- But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
- The entrance of thy words giveth light;
it giveth understanding unto the simple. - The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:
The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. - Commit thy way unto the Lord;
trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light,
and thy judgment as the noonday. - Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
- Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.
Lord, hear my voice:
let thine ears be attentive
to the voice of my supplications. - Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart,
all ye that hope in the Lord.
But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.As for God, his way is perfect:
the word of the Lord is tried:
he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.Next verse!With image
