Life after death (3/4)

One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple. There is only one thing I ask of the Lord, just one thing I seek: to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, so that I may enjoy the beauty of the Lord and gaze on his temple.
Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.Do not be concerned about your life and what you will have to eat, or about your body and what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
By humility and the fear of the Lord Are riches and honor and life. The reward of humility and fear of the Lord is wealth, honor, and life.
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. The birth of Jesus Christ occurred in this way. When his mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, but before they came to live together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.
Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. No one can have greater love than to lay down his life for his friends.
Hear, my son, and receive my sayings, And the years of your life will be many.Listen, my son, and take my words to heart, and the years of your life will be multiplied.
A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, But perverseness in it breaks the spirit.A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but an undisciplined tongue crushes the spirit.
The ransom of a man’s life is his riches, But the poor does not hear rebuke.A wealthy man pays a ransom to save his life; a poor man never has to worry about such threats.
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.Hope deferred sickens the heart, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.
It is a snare for a man to devote rashly something as holy, And afterward to reconsider his vows.It is rash to pledge a sacred gift, or to make a vow and then have second thoughts.
For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall also be united with him in his resurrection. We know that our old self was crucified with him, so that our sinful body might be destroyed and we might no longer be enslaved to sin.
Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.Guard your heart with all possible vigilance, for from it flow the wellsprings of life.
And you shall have the tassel, that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of the Lord and do them, and that you may not follow the harlotry to which your own heart and your own eyes are inclined. When you look at the tassels, you will remember the commandments of the Lord and keep them. Thus you will not prostitute yourselves by following after the lusts in your own heart or your own eyes.
Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Therefore, heed my words. Do not be concerned about your life and what you will have to eat or drink, or about your body and what you will wear. Surely life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
I will never forget Your precepts, For by them You have given me life.Never will I forget your commands, for through them you have given me life.
Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death, and deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He will rise again.Behold, we are now going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death. Then they will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and scourged and crucified, and on the third day he will be raised to life.
He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, But he who refuses correction goes astray.Whoever heeds admonition is on the path to life, but anyone who rejects correction goes astray.
And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. For this reason, he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who have been called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since his death has served to redeem the sins that were committed under the first covenant.

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.
