- For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- For what good will it do a person if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his soul? Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul?
- Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might reach out with his hand, and take fruit also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the Lord God sent him out of the Garden of Eden, to cultivate the ground from which he was taken.
- For what does it benefit a person to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul?
- Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel’s sake, but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life.”
- Knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.
- And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them; and they were judged, each one of them according to their deeds.
- One who keeps the commandment keeps his soul,
But one who is careless of conduct will die. - The Lord will protect you from all evil;
He will keep your soul.
The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in
From this time and forever. - Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.
- They will no longer hunger nor thirst, nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any scorching heat; for the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to springs of the water of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes.
- By faith even Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised.
- The Lord redeems the souls of His servants,
And none of those who take refuge in Him will suffer for their guilt. - And do not go on presenting the parts of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead, and your body’s parts as instruments of righteousness for God.
- For His anger is but for a moment,
His favor is for a lifetime;
Weeping may last for the night,
But a shout of joy comes in the morning. - I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. - As in water a face reflects the face,
So the heart of a person reflects the person. - For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
- That which has been born of the flesh is flesh, and that which has been born of the Spirit is spirit.
- Ill-gotten gains do not benefit,
But righteousness rescues from death. - For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.
- One who gets wisdom loves his own soul;
One who keeps understanding will find good. - Who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was granted to us in Christ Jesus from all eternity.
- And the one sown with seed among the thorns, this is the one who hears the word, and the anxiety of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
- Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
