May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and into the perseverance of Christ. | May the Lord guide your hearts to the love of God and the steadfastness of Christ. |
For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you. | O Lord, you are kind and forgiving, filled with kindness for all who cry to you. |
So that with good courage we say, “The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me?” | Therefore, we can say with confidence: “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?” |

O Lord, grant us success. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. We bless you from the house of the Lord. |
For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. | But our citizenship is in heaven, and from there we await our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. |
For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with God’s trumpet. The dead in Christ will rise first, then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever. | When the command is given, at the sound of the archangel’s voice and the call of God’s trumpet, the Lord himself will descend from heaven, and those who have died in Christ will be the first to rise. Then those of us who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them on clouds in the air to meet the Lord. And so, we will be with the Lord forever. |
