Bible Verses about 'Lot'

  • Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
  • Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.
  • Behold that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion.
  • I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.
  • Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.
  • The hand of the diligent shall bear rule:
    but the slothful shall be under tribute.
  • Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
  • Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
  • He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
  • I have blotted out, as a thick cloud,
    thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins:
    return unto me;
    for I have redeemed thee.
  • Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
  • And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
  • I will greatly rejoice in the Lord,
    my soul shall be joyful in my God;
    for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation,
    he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness,
    as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments,
    and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
  • Have mercy upon me, O God,
    according to thy lovingkindness:
    according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies
    blot out my transgressions.
    Wash me throughly from mine iniquity,
    and cleanse me from my sin.
