Bible Verses about 'Lowly'
- A man's pride shall bring him low:
but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. - When pride cometh, then cometh shame:
but with the lowly is wisdom. - Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
- Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

- And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence.
- For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people:
he will beautify the meek with salvation. - Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
