But the tax collector stood at a distance. Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice.
Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.Then Jesus shouted, “Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!” And with those words he breathed his last.
He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’He isn’t here! Remember what he told you back in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day.

For no word from God will ever fail.For the word of God will never fail.
So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent.
Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.What blessings await you when people hate you and exclude you and mock you and curse you as evil because you follow the Son of Man.
But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.

Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.Give to anyone who asks; and when things are taken away from you, don’t try to get them back.
