| For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. | For the creation waits with eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. |
| In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. | By this God’s love was revealed in us, that God has sent his only born Son into the world that we might live through him. |

| Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. | Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. |
| Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. | See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God!
