Can a man walk on hot coals without his feet being scorched?Or can one walk on hot coals without scorching the feet?
Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”He replied, “What is impossible for mortals is possible for God.”
He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.He humbled you by letting you hunger, then by feeding you with manna, with which neither you nor your ancestors were acquainted, in order to make you understand that one does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.

While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.While they were there, the time came for her to deliver her child. Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.The fear of others lays a snare, but one who trusts in the Lord is secure.
Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many.Hear, my child, and accept my words, that the years of your life may be many.
A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.The good person out of the good treasure of the heart produces good, and the evil person out of evil treasure produces evil; for it is out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks.
The father of a righteous child has great joy; a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him.The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice; he who begets a wise son will be glad in him.
The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord rescues them from them all.
The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper as his partner.”
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”But Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but for God all things are possible.”
Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.The human mind may devise many plans, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will be established.
For the Lord your God will bless you as he has promised, and you will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. You will rule over many nations but none will rule over you.When the Lord your God has blessed you, as he promised you, you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow; you will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you.
So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an unexpected hour.
Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the Lord your God disciplines you.Know then in your heart that as a parent disciplines a child so the Lord your God disciplines you.
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another.

But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.But as for you, man of God, shun all this; pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, gentleness.
Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”But he answered, “It is written, ‘One does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ”

For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.
