Bible Verses about 'Man’s'

One's pride will bring him low, but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor.Pride brings a person low, but the lowly in spirit gain honor.
The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps. In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.
As in water face reflects face, so the heart of man reflects the man.As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart.
The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way.The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him.
A man's gift makes room for him and brings him before the great.A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great.
The ransom of a man's life is his wealth, but a poor man hears no threat.A person’s riches may ransom their life, but the poor cannot respond to threatening rebukes.
For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous. For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand. Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.
A rich man's wealth is his strong city, and like a high wall in his imagination. The wealth of the rich is their fortified city; they imagine it a wall too high to scale.
The words of a wise man's mouth win him favor, but the lips of a fool consume him.Words from the mouth of the wise are gracious, but fools are consumed by their own lips.
Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man!Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart.A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart.
Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.
What is desired in a man is steadfast love, and a poor man is better than a liar. What a person desires is unfailing love; better to be poor than a liar.
Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him, but the righteous shall live by his faith.See, the enemy is puffed up; his desires are not upright— but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness.
The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.
Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from a man's envy of his neighbor. This also is vanity and a striving after wind. And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person’s envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”
If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless. Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.
But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man's trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many. But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!
I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God's gift to man.I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God.
In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.
Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.
But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction. But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile.

Oh, how abundant is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you and worked for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of the children of mankind! How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you.
