Bible Verses about 'Man’s'

For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous. For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
A person’s pride will bring him low, But a humble spirit will obtain honor.Pride brings a person low, but the lowly in spirit gain honor.
The mind of a person plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps. In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.
The steps of a man are established by the Lord, And He delights in his way.The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him.
As in water a face reflects the face, So the heart of a person reflects the person. As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart.
A person’s gift makes room for him And brings him before great people.A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great.
The ransom of a person’s life is his wealth, But the poor hears no rebuke.A person’s riches may ransom their life, but the poor cannot respond to threatening rebukes.
Many plans are in a person’s heart, But the advice of the Lord will stand. Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.
A rich person’s wealth is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own imagination. The wealth of the rich is their fortified city; they imagine it a wall too high to scale.
Words from the mouth of a wise person are gracious, while the lips of a fool consume him.Words from the mouth of the wise are gracious, but fools are consumed by their own lips.
Blessed are you when the people hate you, and when they exclude you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man.Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.
Every person’s way is right in his own eyes, But the Lord examines the hearts.A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart.
Anxiety in a person’s heart weighs it down, But a good word makes it glad.Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.
What is desirable in a person is his kindness, And it is better to be a poor person than a liar. What a person desires is unfailing love; better to be poor than a liar.
Behold, as for the impudent one, His soul is not right within him; But the righteous one will live by his faith.See, the enemy is puffed up; his desires are not upright— but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness.
The conclusion, when everything has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.
I have seen that every labor and every skill which is done is the result of rivalry between a person and his neighbor. This too is futility and striving after wind. And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person’s envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
But He said to them, “Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one is affluent does his life consist of his possessions.”Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”
If anyone thinks himself to be religious, yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this person’s religion is worthless. Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.
But the gracious gift is not like the offense. For if by the offense of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many. But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!
I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good in one’s lifetime; moreover, that every person who eats and drinks sees good in all his labor—this is the gift of God.I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God.
