Man (2/4)

For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul? And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?
The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.Fearing people is a dangerous trap, but trusting the Lord means safety.
This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened; he saved me from all my troubles.
I, I am he who comforts you; who are you that you are afraid of man who dies, of the son of man who is made like grass.I, yes I, am the one who comforts you. So why are you afraid of mere humans, who wither like the grass and disappear?
He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Remember what he told you back in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day.
When a man is newly married, he shall not go out with the army or be liable for any other public duty. He shall be free at home one year to be happy with his wife whom he has taken.A newly married man must not be drafted into the army or be given any other official responsibilities. He must be free to spend one year at home, bringing happiness to the wife he has married.

How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word.
But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate. But ‘God made them male and female’ from the beginning of creation. ‘This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.’ Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together.
There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death. There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death.

So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”“Haven’t you read the Scriptures?” Jesus replied. “They record that from the beginning ‘God made them male and female.’” And he said, “‘This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.’ Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together.”
So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.So if someone tells you, ‘Look, the Messiah is out in the desert,’ don’t bother to go and look. Or, ‘Look, he is hiding here,’ don’t believe it! For as the lightning flashes in the east and shines to the west, so it will be when the Son of Man comes.
