Mankind (2/4)

A man’s gift makes room for him, And brings him before great men.A person’s gift makes room for him And brings him before great people.
He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. The one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.
The ransom of a man’s life is his riches, But the poor does not hear rebuke. The ransom of a person’s life is his wealth, But the poor hears no rebuke.
A man’s pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor.A person’s pride will bring him low, But a humble spirit will obtain honor.
The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own esteem.A rich person’s wealth is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own imagination.
But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. But the gracious gift is not like the offense. For if by the offense of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many.
He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.The one who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him.
The words of a wise man’s mouth are gracious, But the lips of a fool shall swallow him up.Words from the mouth of a wise person are gracious, while the lips of a fool consume him.
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.Beyond question, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory.
In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father, who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.’
Blessed are you when men hate you, And when they exclude you, And revile you, and cast out your name as evil, For the Son of Man’s sake.Blessed are you when the people hate you, and when they exclude you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man.
Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.See how great a love the Father has given us, that we would be called children of God; and in fact we are. For this reason the world does not know us: because it did not know Him.
But many who are first will be last, and the last first. But many who are first will be last; and the last, first.
For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For just as the body is one and yet has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ.
For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law.For all who have sinned without the Law will also perish without the Law, and all who have sinned under the Law will be judged by the Law.
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.
So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord. And He humbled you and let you go hungry, and fed you with the manna which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, in order to make you understand that man shall not live on bread alone, but man shall live on everything that comes out of the mouth of the Lord.
Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.
Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding.Blessed is a person who finds wisdom, And one who obtains understanding.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons and daughters of God.
What is desired in a man is kindness, And a poor man is better than a liar. What is desirable in a person is his kindness, And it is better to be a poor person than a liar.
And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. And let’s consider how to encourage one another in love and good deeds, not abandoning our own meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
In like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or expensive apparel, but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness.
So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. While they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For since by a man death came, by a Man also came the resurrection of the dead.
