- Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?
- For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.
- So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
- Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
- Oh, how great is Your goodness,
Which You have laid up for those who fear You,
Which You have prepared for those who trust in You
In the presence of the sons of men! - What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him? - Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
- No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
- Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent.
- Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
- Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God and keep His commandments,
For this is man’s all. - Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
- Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
- He is despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. - The vine has dried up,
And the fig tree has withered;
The pomegranate tree,
The palm tree also,
And the apple tree—
All the trees of the field are withered;
Surely joy has withered away from the sons of men. - He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
- Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
- And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
- Knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine, according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust.
- For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.
- In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
- As in water face reflects face,
So a man’s heart reveals the man. - There are many plans in a man’s heart,
Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand. - A man’s heart plans his way,
But the Lord directs his steps. - In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
- A man’s gift makes room for him,
And brings him before great men. - He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
- The ransom of a man’s life is his riches,
But the poor does not hear rebuke. - A man’s pride will bring him low,
But the humble in spirit will retain honor. - The rich man’s wealth is his strong city,
And like a high wall in his own esteem. - But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.
- He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.
- The words of a wise man’s mouth are gracious,
But the lips of a fool shall swallow him up. - And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifested in the flesh,
Justified in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Preached among the Gentiles,
Believed on in the world,
Received up in glory. - In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven. - Blessed are you when men hate you,
And when they exclude you,
And revile you, and cast out your name as evil,
For the Son of Man’s sake. - Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
- But many who are first will be last, and the last first.
- For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.
- For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law.
- For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.
- So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.
- Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.
- Happy is the man who finds wisdom,
And the man who gains understanding. - For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
- What is desired in a man is kindness,
And a poor man is better than a liar. - And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
- In like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.
- So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
- For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead.
