- See, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is anything too hard for me?
- So God created humankind in his image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them. - What are human beings that you are mindful of them,
mortals that you care for them? - For there is one God; there is also one mediator between God and humankind, Christ Jesus, himself human.
- There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among mortals by which we must be saved.
- The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God, and keep his commandments; for that is the whole duty of everyone.
- He was despised and rejected by others;
a man of suffering and acquainted with infirmity;
and as one from whom others hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him of no account. - O how abundant is your goodness
that you have laid up for those who fear you,
and accomplished for those who take refuge in you,
in the sight of everyone! - No testing has overtaken you that is not common to everyone. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing he will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it.
- Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.”
- Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, revilers, robbers—none of these will inherit the kingdom of God.
- And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,
“See, the home of God is among mortals.
He will dwell with them as their God;
they will be his peoples,
and God himself will be with them;
he will wipe every tear from their eyes.
Death will be no more;
mourning and crying and pain will be no more,
for the first things have passed away.” - This means understanding that the law is laid down not for the innocent but for the lawless and disobedient, for the godless and sinful, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their father or mother, for murderers, fornicators, sodomites, slave traders, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to the sound teaching that conforms to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.
- For just as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous.
- For the Son of Man came to seek out and to save the lost.
- And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. Then the man said,
“This at last is bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
this one shall be called Woman,
for out of Man this one was taken.”
Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and clings to his wife, and they become one flesh. - For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
- Just as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
- But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died through the one man's trespass, much more surely have the grace of God and the free gift in the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abounded for the many.
- Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?
- Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an unexpected hour.
- And the Lord God made garments of skins for the man and for his wife, and clothed them.
- But as for you, man of God, shun all this; pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, gentleness.
- Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper as his partner.”
- But because of cases of sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.
Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock.Bear one another's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves.Next verse!With image
