Chinese (traditional)- Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!
- Now John himself was clothed in camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey.
- Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance.
- I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
- And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
- But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”
- From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
- Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
- And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.
- Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. - Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted. - Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled. - Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God. - Blessed are the peacemakers,
For they shall be called sons of God. - Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. - Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.
- You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
- You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
- Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
- Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.
- For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.
- Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
- You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
- If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.
- But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God’s throne; nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame. But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.Next verse! With image
