And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”And behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.But if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil.
For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.”But when he heard it, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.”
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
Above his head they placed the written charge against him: this is jesus, the king of the jews.And over his head they put the charge against him, which read, “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”
Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
How much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.Of how much more value is a man than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.Even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying; give without pay.
But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak.
So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
