Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near. | Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near. |

Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Never abandon a friend— either yours or your father’s. When disaster strikes, you won’t have to ask your brother for assistance. The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. | The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. |
Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. | And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. |
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. | Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. |
Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf. | Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. |
In fact, according to the law of Moses, nearly everything was purified with blood. For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness. | And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. |
And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. | But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. |
There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother. | A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. |
