- Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”
- For no prophecy ever came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke, being moved by the Holy Spirit.
- Be of the same mind one toward another. Don’t set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Don’t be wise in your own conceits.
- Those who know your name will put their trust in you,
for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you. - Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them.
- Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
- He who overcomes will be arrayed in white garments, and I will in no way blot his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
- Those who are in the flesh can’t please God.
- For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.”
- But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed.
- For we all stumble in many things. Anyone who doesn’t stumble in word is a perfect person, able to bridle the whole body also.
- May Yahweh our God be with us as he was with our fathers. Let him not leave us or forsake us.
- Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or scared of them, for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you.
- But let justice roll on like rivers,
and righteousness like a mighty stream. - For nothing spoken by God is impossible.
- Get wisdom.
Get understanding.
Don’t forget, and don’t deviate from the words of my mouth. - I have set Yahweh always before me.
Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. - The ransom of a man’s life is his riches,
but the poor hear no threats. - Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up.
- Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh,
and whose confidence is in Yahweh.
For he will be as a tree planted by the waters,
who spreads out its roots by the river,
and will not fear when heat comes,
but its leaf will be green,
and will not be concerned in the year of drought.
It won’t cease from yielding fruit. - Don’t let kindness and truth forsake you.
Bind them around your neck.
Write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor,
and good understanding in the sight of God and man. - Yahweh is slow to anger, and great in power, and will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. Yahweh has his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
- “For the mountains may depart,
and the hills be removed,
but my loving kindness will not depart from you,
and my covenant of peace will not be removed,”
says Yahweh who has mercy on you. - Haven’t you known?
Haven’t you heard?
The everlasting God, Yahweh,
the Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn’t faint.
He isn’t weary.
His understanding is unsearchable. - Let no man say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God,” for God can’t be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.
