Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you. Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose. Matthew 5:17	Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. law Jesus prophecy

I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one. John 17:15	I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. safety mediator evil
For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do. Hebrews 6:10	For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. righteousness work serving
Of all the marine animals, you may eat whatever has both fins and scales. You may not, however, eat marine animals that do not have both fins and scales. They are ceremonially unclean for you. But consider the joy of those corrected by God! Do not despise the discipline of the Almighty when you sin. Job 5:17	Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty. punishment suffering blessing
God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. Ephesians 2:8-9	For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. grace faith salvation
The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God. Psalm 51:17	The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. sacrifice repentance
And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right! James 3:10	Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. sin speaking worship
When a crime is not punished quickly, people feel it is safe to do wrong. Ecclesiastes 8:11	Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. sin heart punishment
Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Galatians 6:7	Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. God righteousness harvest
He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world. 1 John 2:2	And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. sin Savior forgiveness
Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant. Galatians 1:10	For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. obedience reward relationships
Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them. Proverbs 3:27	Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. honesty giving debt

This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9	Have not I commanded thee? Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace. Romans 6:14	For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. sin grace law

The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. 2 Peter 3:9	The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. salvation patience conversion

You and I are Jews by birth, not ‘sinners’ like the Gentiles. Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.

We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
