- He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
- And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
- Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
Save me, and I shall be saved,
For You are my praise. - But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.
- For who is God, except the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips
And from a deceitful tongue. - If I say, “My foot slips,”
Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up. - For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
- For who is God, except the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - O Lord, You are my God.
I will exalt You,
I will praise Your name,
For You have done wonderful things;
Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. - Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
- Let Your mercy, O Lord, be upon us,
Just as we hope in You. - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
- But You, O Lord, are a shield for me,
My glory and the One who lifts up my head. - Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name! - I will love You, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. - For with God nothing will be impossible.
- Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord;
Lord, hear my voice!
Let Your ears be attentive
To the voice of my supplications. - For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.
- You, O Lord, remain forever;
Your throne from generation to generation. - Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy;
For You render to each one according to his work. - For there is not a word on my tongue,
But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. - My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my expectation is from Him. - And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’
- In You, O Lord, I put my trust;
Let me never be ashamed;
Deliver me in Your righteousness.
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your King is coming to you;
He is just and having salvation,
Lowly and riding on a donkey,
A colt, the foal of a donkey.But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
