The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
John replied, “If you have two shirts, give one to the poor. If you have food, share it with those who are hungry.”John answered, “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.”
And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment.When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment.

But I will send you the Advocate—the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me.When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me.
Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked so hard to achieve. Be diligent so that you receive your full reward.Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully.
Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth.If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.
And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.
God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.
