Bible Verses about 'Open'

  • The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are open to their cry.
  • Speak out and pronounce righteous judgments;
defend the rights of the wretched and the poor.
  • Speak out for those who cannot speak for themselves,
and defend the rights of the destitute.
  • Bring the tithes in full into the treasury
so that there may be food in my house.
Put me thus to the test,
    says the Lord of hosts,
and see if I will not open
the windows of heaven for you
and pour down blessings upon you
    without measure.
  • For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
and his ears are attentive to their prayer.
However, the face of the Lord
is set against those who do evil.
  • Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.
  • Behold, I am standing at the door, knocking. If one of you hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with that person and that person with me.
  • A gift opens doors for the giver
and wins him access to the powerful.
  • Therefore, I say to you: ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.

but one who talks excessively ensures his own downfall.

    the Lord loves the righteous.
  • If anyone is rich in worldly possessions
and sees a brother in need
but refuses to open his heart,
how can the love of God abide in him?
  • And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and the scrolls were opened. Then another scroll was opened, the book of life, and the dead were judged according to their deeds, as were recorded in the scrolls. The sea gave up all the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them. The dead were judged according to their deeds.
  • After John had baptized all the people, and while Jesus was engaged in prayer after also having been baptized, heaven opened and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my beloved Son; in you I am well pleased.”
  • O Lord, all my longing is known to you,
and my sighs are not hidden from you.
  • If you are angry, do not sin. Do not let the sun set on your anger, and do not give the devil an opening.
  • Then Peter addressed them: “I now understand how true it is that God has no favorites, but that in every nation all those who fear God and do what is right are acceptable to him.”
  • However, the wisdom that comes from above is first of all pure, then peaceable, gentle, and considerate, full of mercy and good fruits, without any trace of partiality or hypocrisy.
  • But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you.
  • And as we gaze upon the glory of the Lord with unveiled faces, all of us are being transformed into that same image from glory to glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
  • But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Your almsgiving must be done in secret. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you.
  • The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me
because the Lord has anointed me.
He has sent me to announce good news to the oppressed,
    to strengthen the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom to those held in captivity
and release to those who have been imprisoned.
  • But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that the fact that you are fasting will not be obvious to others but only to your Father who is hidden. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you.
  • If you confess with your lips, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

For one believes in the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved.
