The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.
You shall be holy to me, for I the Lord am holy and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be mine. And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason frankly with your neighbor, lest you incur sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord.
And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments and statutes of the Lord, which I am commanding you today for your good? And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the Lord, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul? For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls. He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them. The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.
So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.
Therefore you are great, O Lord God. For there is none like you, and there is no God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands. The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.
However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

My son, if your heart is wise, my heart too will be glad.My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine.
May he grant you your heart's desire and fulfill all your plans!Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.
Do not forsake your friend and your father's friend, and do not go to your brother's house in the day of your calamity. Better is a neighbor who is near than a brother who is far away.Thine own friend, and thy father's friend, forsake not; neither go into thy brother's house in the day of thy calamity: for better is a neighbour that is near than a brother far off.
And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
