PSALM (4/4)

When I kept silent, my bones grew old Through my groaning all the day long.When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away Through my groaning all day long.
The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.The Lord is near to all who call on Him, To all who call on Him in truth.
But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head.But You, Lord, are a shield around me, My glory, and the One who lifts my head.
For Your mercy reaches unto the heavens, And Your truth unto the clouds.For Your goodness is great to the heavens And Your truth to the clouds.
With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments!With all my heart I have sought You; Do not let me wander from Your commandments.
Direct my steps by Your word, And let no iniquity have dominion over me.Establish my footsteps in Your word, And do not let any wrongdoing have power over me.
I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.I will rejoice and be jubilant in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.
Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart!Blessed are those who comply with His testimonies, And seek Him with all their heart.
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!Taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!

The wicked borrows and does not repay, But the righteous shows mercy and gives.The wicked borrows and does not pay back, But the righteous is gracious and gives.
Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy.Vindicate the weak and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and destitute.
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable.Great is the Lord, and highly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable.
He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.He alone is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I will not be greatly shaken.
I called on the Lord in distress; The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place.From my distress I called upon the Lord; The Lord answered me and put me in an open space.
The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry.The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, And His ears are toward their cry for help.
Your testimonies I have taken as a heritage forever, For they are the rejoicing of my heart.I have inherited Your testimonies forever, For they are the joy of my heart.
The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.The unfolding of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.
What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?What is man that You think of him, And a son of man that You are concerned about him?
Restore us, O Lord God of hosts; Cause Your face to shine, And we shall be saved!Lord God of armies, restore us; Make Your face shine upon us, and we will be saved.
In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God.My salvation and my glory rest on God; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.
For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation.For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will glorify the lowly with salvation.
