Person (2/4)

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.
For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit.
Whoever has no rule over his own spirit Is like a city broken down, without walls.A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls.
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.
Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy; For You render to each one according to his work.Unfailing love, O Lord, is yours. Surely you repay all people according to what they have done.
But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die.But if wicked people turn away from all their sins and begin to obey my decrees and do what is just and right, they will surely live and not die.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.
So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.
So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”
Knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine, according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust. For the law was not intended for people who do what is right. It is for people who are lawless and rebellious, who are ungodly and sinful, who consider nothing sacred and defile what is holy, who kill their father or mother or commit other murders. The law is for people who are sexually immoral, or who practice homosexuality, or are slave traders, liars, promise breakers, or who do anything else that contradicts the wholesome teaching that comes from the glorious Good News entrusted to me by our blessed God.
Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.
If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.If another believer sins, rebuke that person; then if there is repentance, forgive. Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive.
Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified. You and I are Jews by birth, not ‘sinners’ like the Gentiles. Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.
For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.
If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless.
For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.
For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have.Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have.
But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more. But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.
He answered and said to them, “He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.”John replied, “If you have two shirts, give one to the poor. If you have food, share it with those who are hungry.”
One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination.God detests the prayers of a person who ignores the law.
Who “will render to each one according to his deeds”He will judge everyone according to what they have done.
Again, I saw that for all toil and every skillful work a man is envied by his neighbor. This also is vanity and grasping for the wind. Then I observed that most people are motivated to success because they envy their neighbors. But this, too, is meaningless—like chasing the wind.
But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?
If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.Anyone who wants to serve me must follow me, because my servants must be where I am. And the Father will honor anyone who serves me.

Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the offense. If the other person listens and confesses it, you have won that person back.
