- Therefore, when you do merciful deeds, don’t sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward.
- But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
- Depart from evil, and do good.
Seek peace, and pursue it. - Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you.

- Trust in Yahweh, and do good.
Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture. - For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
- God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
