- Of his own will he gave birth to us by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
- The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver.
The heart of the wicked is of little worth. - For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
- Therefore leaving the teaching of the first principles of Christ, let’s press on to perfection—not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, of faith toward God, of the teaching of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
- That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.
- Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s love, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
- I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living. - The memory of the righteous is blessed,
but the name of the wicked will rot. - The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings out that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings out that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks.
- That he may guard the paths of justice,
and preserve the way of his saints. - The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
- The prospect of the righteous is joy,
but the hope of the wicked will perish. - Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen.
- Children’s children are the crown of old men;
the glory of children is their parents. - Who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love, in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins.
- The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
but the mouth of the wicked is perverse. - Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!
- You who love Yahweh, hate evil!
He preserves the souls of his saints.
He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. - The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge,
but the foolish despise wisdom and instruction. - Having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives and remains forever.
- Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stand on the path of sinners,
nor sit in the seat of scoffers. - Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
- These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.
- For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
