- He sat down and called the twelve; and he said to them, “If any man wants to be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all.”
- For most certainly I tell you, whoever may tell this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and doesn’t doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is happening, he shall have whatever he says.
- Make the path of your feet level.
Let all of your ways be established. - Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
- I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever.
- God will bless us.
All the ends of the earth shall fear him. - Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations.
I will be exalted in the earth. - I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people; and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more. The first things have passed away.”
- Yahweh, in the morning you will hear my voice.
In the morning I will lay my requests before you, and will watch expectantly. - He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath day. Behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years. She was bent over and could in no way straighten herself up. When Jesus saw her, he called her and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your infirmity.” He laid his hands on her, and immediately she stood up straight and glorified God.
The ruler of the synagogue, being indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the multitude, “There are six days in which men ought to work. Therefore come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day!”
Therefore the Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each one of you free his ox or his donkey from the stall on the Sabbath and lead him away to water? Ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham whom Satan had bound eighteen long years, be freed from this bondage on the Sabbath day?”
As he said these things, all his adversaries were disappointed; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him. - One who walks with wise men grows wise,
but a companion of fools suffers harm. - Finally, brothers, rejoice! Be perfected. Be comforted. Be of the same mind. Live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.
- Whom do I have in heaven?
There is no one on earth whom I desire besides you. - Yahweh said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain, and stay here, and I will give you the stone tablets with the law and the commands that I have written, that you may teach them.”
- These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.
- Since you have been precious and honored in my sight,
and I have loved you,
therefore I will give people in your place,
and nations instead of your life. - I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out and will find pasture.
- But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female. For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife, and the two will become one flesh, so that they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.
- Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
- Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it would be done.”
- Watch! Stand firm in the faith! Be courageous! Be strong!
- Don’t judge,
and you won’t be judged.
Don’t condemn,
and you won’t be condemned.
Set free,
and you will be set free. - If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.
- Wash yourselves. Make yourself clean.
Put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes.
Cease to do evil. - When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment.
