Ill-gotten treasures have no lasting value, but righteousness delivers from death.Ill-gotten gains do not benefit, But righteousness rescues from death.
Blessings crown the head of the righteous, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.Blessings are on the head of the righteous, But the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.
The name of the righteous is used in blessings, but the name of the wicked will rot.The mentioning of the righteous is a blessing, But the name of the wicked will rot.
The wise in heart accept commands, but a chattering fool comes to ruin.The wise of heart will receive commands, But a babbling fool will come to ruin.
Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.One who walks in integrity walks securely, But one who perverts his ways will be found out.
Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs.Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all offenses.
Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray.One who is on the path of life follows instruction, But one who ignores a rebuke goes astray.
Whoever conceals hatred with lying lips and spreads slander is a fool.One who conceals hatred has lying lips, And one who spreads slander is a fool.
Sin is not ended by multiplying words, but the prudent hold their tongues.When there are many words, wrongdoing is unavoidable, But one who restrains his lips is wise.
The tongue of the righteous is choice silver, but the heart of the wicked is of little value.The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver, The heart of the wicked is worth little.
The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it.It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich, And He adds no sorrow to it.

The lips of the righteous know what finds favor, but the mouth of the wicked only what is perverse.The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, But the mouth of the wicked, what is perverted.
When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.When pride comes, then comes dishonor; But with the humble there is wisdom.
The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.The integrity of the upright will guide them, But the perversity of the treacherous will destroy them.

A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.A generous person will be prosperous, And one who gives others plenty of water will himself be given plenty.
Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.One who loves discipline loves knowledge, But one who hates rebuke is stupid.
Fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult.A fool’s anger is known at once, But a prudent person conceals dishonor.
Deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil, but those who promote peace have joy.Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, But counselors of peace have joy.
The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy.Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, But those who deal faithfully are His delight.

Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in forced labor.The hand of the diligent will rule, But the lazy hand will be put to forced labor.
