Psalm 16:1 (4/9)

My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?
Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.Deep calls to deep at the roar of your waterfalls; all your breakers and your waves have gone over me.
Yet the Lord will command his lovingkindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.By day the Lord commands his steadfast love, and at night his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life.
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.
For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them. For not by their own sword did they win the land, nor did their own arm save them, but your right hand and your arm, and the light of your face, for you delighted in them.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!
Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin!
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life.
Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.
What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth!
For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds. For your steadfast love is great to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.
But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble. But I will sing of your strength; I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning. For you have been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress.
Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation.
He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken.
My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.
He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken.
In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God.
Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work. And that to you, O Lord, belongs steadfast love. For you will render to a man according to his work.
O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands.

For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried.
