Psalm 16:1 (8/9)

Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good.
Blessed is every one who fears the Lord, Who walks in His ways. How joyful are those who fear the Lord— all who follow his ways!
Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord; Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the voice of my supplications. From the depths of despair, O Lord, I call for your help. Hear my cry, O Lord. Pay attention to my prayer.
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope.I am counting on the Lord; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word.
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony!
The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands. The Lord will work out his plans for my life— for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me.
O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.
For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord.
Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there.
For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.
Hear my prayer, O Lord, Give ear to my supplications! In Your faithfulness answer me, And in Your righteousness.Hear my prayer, O Lord; listen to my plea! Answer me because you are faithful and righteous.
I spread out my hands to You; My soul longs for You like a thirsty land. SelahI lift my hands to you in prayer. I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain.
Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You.Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you.
Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.
I will extol You, my God, O King; And I will bless Your name forever and ever.I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever.
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable.Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness.
The Lord is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works. The Lord is righteous in everything he does; he is filled with kindness.
The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.
The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; The Lord raises those who are bowed down; The Lord loves the righteous. The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down. The Lord loves the godly.
The Lord watches over the strangers; He relieves the fatherless and widow; But the way of the wicked He turns upside down. The Lord protects the foreigners among us. He cares for the orphans and widows, but he frustrates the plans of the wicked.
He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds. He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.
For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation. For the Lord delights in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord! Praise the Lord!
Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful.Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.

But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head. But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high.

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.Next verse! With image
