Psalm 23:4 (3/9)

Better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked; for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous.A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous.
The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously. The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.
The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him.The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
For the Lord loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed; the offspring of the wicked will perish. For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
All my longings lie open before you, Lord; my sighing is not hidden from you.Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.
Hear my prayer, Lord, listen to my cry for help; do not be deaf to my weeping. I dwell with you as a foreigner, a stranger, as all my ancestors were.Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.
I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart.I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord; may your love and faithfulness always protect me.Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me.Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
By day the Lord directs his love, at night his song is with me— a prayer to the God of my life.Yet the Lord will command his lovingkindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.
Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them. For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.
Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.
For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.

But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.

If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
