O LORD, you have examined my heart and know everything about me… Psalm 139:1-2

O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. Psalm 139:1-2	O Lord, you have examined me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I stand; you perceive my thoughts from a distance. seeking thoughts understanding
You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. Psalm 139:4	A word is not even on my tongue and you, O Lord, are completely aware of it. speaking almighty understanding

I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. Psalm 139:7-8	Where can I go to hide from your spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I ascend to the heavens, you are there; if I take my rest in the netherworld, you are also there. You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life. The Lord is righteous in everything he does; he is filled with kindness. Psalm 145:17	The Lord is righteous in all his ways and merciful in everything he does. reliability righteousness goodness
The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth. Psalm 145:18	The Lord is near to all who call out to him, to all who call out to him sincerely. trust reliability prayer
The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down. The Lord loves the godly. Psalm 146:8	And opens the eyes of those who cannot see. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous. sickness healing righteousness
The Lord protects the foreigners among us. He cares for the orphans and widows, but he frustrates the plans of the wicked. Psalm 146:9	The Lord watches over the stranger and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he blocks the way of the wicked. protection orphans widows

Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. Psalm 1:1	Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the company of scoffers. sin righteousness blessing
But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high. Psalm 3:3	But you, O Lord, are a shield to protect me; you are my glory and the one who raises my head high. dependence overcoming protection
Victory comes from you, O Lord. May you bless your people. Psalm 3:8	Salvation comes from the Lord. May your blessing be upon your people. Selah salvation blessing dependence
In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe. Psalm 4:8	In peace I lie down and sleep, for only with your help, O Lord, can I rest secure. safety rest peace
Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly. Psalm 5:3	O Lord, at daybreak you hear my voice; at daybreak I bring my petition before you and await your reply. prayer patience listening
For you bless the godly, O Lord; you surround them with your shield of love. Psalm 5:12	Truly, you bless the righteous, O Lord; you surround them with your goodwill as with a shield. blessing protection righteousness
What are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? Psalm 8:4	What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? blessing humility grace
