Bible Verses about 'Regard'

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality. So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.
Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content.
And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.Who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
Only a fool despises a parent’s discipline; whoever learns from correction is wise.A fool despises his father’s instruction, But he who receives correction is prudent.
Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent.Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace; When he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive.
For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, ‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’
The rich think of their wealth as a strong defense; they imagine it to be a high wall of safety. The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own esteem.
For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are. Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Keep the Sabbath day holy. Don’t pursue your own interests on that day, but enjoy the Sabbath and speak of it with delight as the Lord’s holy day. Honor the Sabbath in everything you do on that day, and don’t follow your own desires or talk idly. Then the Lord will be your delight. I will give you great honor and satisfy you with the inheritance I promised to your ancestor Jacob. I, the Lord, have spoken! If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, From doing your pleasure on My holy day, And call the Sabbath a delight, The holy day of the Lord honorable, And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, Nor finding your own pleasure, Nor speaking your own words, Then you shall delight yourself in the Lord; And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth, And feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father. The mouth of the Lord has spoken.
He was despised and rejected— a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care.He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
I have chosen to be faithful; I have determined to live by your regulations.I have chosen the way of truth; Your judgments I have laid before me.
God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important. As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God.And the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence.
As I learn your righteous regulations, I will thank you by living as I should!I will praise You with uprightness of heart, When I learn Your righteous judgments.
The very essence of your words is truth; all your just regulations will stand forever. The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.
But we have sinned and done wrong. We have rebelled against you and scorned your commands and regulations. We have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments.
And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.
But don’t rejoice because evil spirits obey you; rejoice because your names are registered in heaven.Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.
They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity— all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved. So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.
‘I am the Lord your God,’ I told them. ‘Follow my decrees, pay attention to my regulations, and keep my Sabbath days holy, for they are a sign to remind you that I am the Lord your God.’I am the Lord your God: Walk in My statutes, keep My judgments, and do them; hallow My Sabbaths, and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.
Observe the requirements of the Lord your God, and follow all his ways. Keep the decrees, commands, regulations, and laws written in the Law of Moses so that you will be successful in all you do and wherever you go.And keep the charge of the Lord your God: to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, His commandments, His judgments, and His testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn.

For I command you this day to love the Lord your God and to keep his commands, decrees, and regulations by walking in his ways. If you do this, you will live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you and the land you are about to enter and occupy. In that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess.
