If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother… 1 John 3:17

If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person? 1 John 3:17	But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? money neighbor compassion

The more you have, the more people come to help you spend it. So what good is wealth—except perhaps to watch it slip through your fingers! Ecclesiastes 5:11	When goods increase, they increase who eat them, and what advantage has their owner but to see them with his eyes? materialism money desires
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain. But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8	Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit. trust blessing fruitfulness
