| If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. | If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. |

| Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. | Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. |
| Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the Lord; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the Lord, and I will not keep anger for ever. | Return, faithless Israel, declares the Lord. I will not look on you in anger, for I am merciful, declares the Lord; I will not be angry forever. |
