“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are profitable. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things build up.All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful; all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify.
“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are expedient. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be brought under the power of anything. All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

Seek Yahweh, all you humble of the land, who have kept his ordinances. Seek righteousness. Seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden In the day of the Lord’s anger.

To whomever much is given, of him will much be required; and to whom much was entrusted, of him more will be asked. But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn’t have known sin except through the law. For I wouldn’t have known coveting unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”
