| Having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints. | The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. |

| And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. | And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. |
| And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.” | And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. |
| He said, “Then put away the foreign gods that are among you, and incline your heart to the Lord, the God of Israel.” | Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the Lord God of Israel. |
