For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.
Help us, O God of our salvation, For the glory of Your name; And deliver us, and provide atonement for our sins, For Your name’s sake!Help us, O God of our salvation! Help us for the glory of your name. Save us and forgive our sins for the honor of your name.
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Make Your face shine upon Your servant; Save me for Your mercies’ sake.Let your favor shine on your servant. In your unfailing love, rescue me.
Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers.
For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake. For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him.
But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.”But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats.
Remember, O Lord, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses, For they are from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; According to Your mercy remember me, For Your goodness’ sake, O Lord.Remember, O Lord, your compassion and unfailing love, which you have shown from long ages past. Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth. Remember me in the light of your unfailing love, for you are merciful, O Lord.

And in the world to come that person will have eternal life.”

Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.

For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. For God is not unjust. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.
For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.Either way, Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life. He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.
