| What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. | This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. | Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. |
| And you shall be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine. | You are to be holy to me because I, the Lord, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own. |

| But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves. | But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. | Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work on it; it is the Sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings. | There are six days when you may work, but the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest, a day of sacred assembly. You are not to do any work; wherever you live, it is a sabbath to the Lord. |
| And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these. | The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these. |
