| For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world. | For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age. |

| What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. | What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! |

| Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. | So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. |

| Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous. | Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. |
