So you are to be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy; and I have singled you out from the peoples to be Mine. And you shall be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine.
I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good in one’s lifetime; moreover, that every person who eats and drinks sees good in all his labor—this is the gift of God.I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives, and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God.
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God.For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God.
Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification.Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification.
Brothers and sisters, even if a person is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual are to restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you are not tempted as well.Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.
The husband must fulfill his duty to his wife, and likewise the wife also to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; and likewise the husband also does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
If an army encamps against me, My heart will not fear; If war arises against me, In spite of this I am confident.Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident.
I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another.A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
In the exercise of His will He gave us birth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures.Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.
So husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself.
No one is to say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone.Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.
What is man that You think of him, And a son of man that You are concerned about him? What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?
No one is to seek his own advantage, but rather that of his neighbor.Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being.

Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or expensive apparel, but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness. In like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.
I am not asking You to take them out of the world, but to keep them away from the evil one.I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.
Paul said, “John baptized with a baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in Him who was coming after him, that is, in Jesus.”Then Paul said, “John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.”

What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? Far from it! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
Now the brother or sister of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position; but the rich person is to glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass he will pass away.Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away.
