Bible Verses about 'Should'

  • The Lord is my light and my salvation;
    Whom should I fear?
    The Lord is the defense of my life;
    Whom should I dread?
  • Train up a child in the way he should go,
    Even when he grows older he will not abandon it.
  • I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go;
    I will advise you with My eye upon you.
  • For the despairing man there should be kindness from his friend;
    So that he does not abandon the fear of the Almighty.
  • Let me hear Your faithfulness in the morning,
    For I trust in You;
    Teach me the way in which I should walk;
    For to You I lift up my soul.
  • But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their intimidation, and do not be in dread.
  • If I should say, “My foot has slipped,”
    Your faithfulness, Lord, will support me.
  • But who am I and who are my people that we should be able to offer as generously as this? For all things come from You, and from Your hand we have given to You.
  • For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we are to love one another.
  • God is not a man, that He would lie,
    Nor a son of man, that He would change His mind;
    Has He said, and will He not do it?
    Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
  • From the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My brothers and sisters, these things should not be this way.
  • Now in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
  • The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance.
  • “Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked,” declares the Lord God, “rather than that he would turn from his ways and live?”
  • But because of sexual immoralities, each man is to have his own wife, and each woman is to have her own husband.
  • But I strictly discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.
  • And that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
  • Your adornment must not be merely the external—braiding the hair, wearing gold jewelry, or putting on apparel; but it should be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.
  • You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.
  • For you have been called for this purpose, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you would follow in His steps.
  • For this reason also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
  • See how great a love the Father has given us, that we would be called children of God; and in fact we are. For this reason the world does not know us: because it did not know Him.
  • Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.”
  • Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Your speech must always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.
  • I have made a covenant with my eyes;
    How then could I look at a virgin?

Nevertheless, as for you individually, each husband is to love his own wife the same as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband.
