| Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Execute true justice, Show mercy and compassion Everyone to his brother. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, The alien or the poor. | However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. | But for that very reason I received mercy, so that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display the utmost patience, making me an example to those who would come to believe in him for eternal life. |

| Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him. | Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him. |
| Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. | If another member of the church sins against you, go and point out the fault when the two of you are alone. If the member listens to you, you have regained that one. |
| Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness. | Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Let your good spirit lead me on a level path. |
| Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. | He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God? | He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? |
| Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. | Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. |
| In You, O Lord, I put my trust; Let me never be ashamed; Deliver me in Your righteousness. | In you, O Lord, I seek refuge; do not let me ever be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me. |

| For You are my rock and my fortress; Therefore, for Your name’s sake, Lead me and guide me. | You are indeed my rock and my fortress; for your name's sake lead me and guide me. |
