- Therefore produce fruit worthy of repentance!
- I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all perish in the same way.

Put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes.
Cease to do evil. - Therefore let’s also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with perseverance the race that is set before us.
- From that time, Jesus began to preach, and to say, “Repent! For the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”
- But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints.
- And saying, “The time is fulfilled, and God’s Kingdom is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News.”
- But he was pierced for our transgressions.
He was crushed for our iniquities.
The punishment that brought our peace was on him;
and by his wounds we are healed. - The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked. But now he commands that all people everywhere should repent.
- Surely he has borne our sickness
and carried our suffering;
yet we considered him plagued,
struck by God, and afflicted. - Not by works of righteousness which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit.
- Have mercy on me, God, according to your loving kindness.
According to the multitude of your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity.
Cleanse me from my sin. - I acknowledged my sin to you.
I didn’t hide my iniquity.
I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh,
and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah. - Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity,
and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage?
He doesn’t retain his anger forever,
because he delights in loving kindness. - For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
- How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without defect to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
- I indeed baptize you in water for repentance, but he who comes after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit.
- Now the deeds of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom.
