Such godly sorrow results in repentance that leads to salvation and causes no regret, whereas worldly sorrow produces death.For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.

I have told you this so that in me you may be in peace. In the world you will endure suffering. But take courage! I have overcome the world.These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
